	Vatican Letter May Be Used in N.L. Abuse Cases VOCM January 19, 2011 http://www.vocm.com/newsarticle.asp?mn=2&id=11974&latest=1 A recently published Vatican letter from 1997, which allegedly warns Irish bishops not to report all cases of child abuse, may provide some ammunition for a local lawyer in his case against the Catholic Church. Greg Stack says he may be able to use the document indirectly to prove this kind of evidence does exist. The letter specifically addresses bishops in Ireland and similar documents have never been produced here. Stack says the Church has been less than forthcoming with records and archives, and says it may never be known if such a letter ever existed in this area.
