He appeared in the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court on Friday, when the case was transferred by Magistrate LS Nielson to the Durban Regional Court. The father-of-three, who is a priest at a Westcliff temple, was arrested in December. He cannot be named until he has been asked to plead. He appeared in court on Christmas Eve, when bail was denied. He later sought a high court application and was granted R4000 bail. In an affidavit in support of his bail, the priest said he intended pleading not guilty to the charges. He said he had no previous convictions or pending cases.
