	Pastor Faces Sex Abuse Charges Hartselle Enquirer December 2, 2010 http://www.hartselleenquirer.com/2010/12/02/pastor-faces-sex-abuse-charges/ A former pastor was arrested last week on charges related to an inappropriate sexual relationship he allegedly had with a member of his youth group. Pastor Carl C. Lloyd III, former youth pastor at Son Rise Baptist Church in Hartselle, faces sodomy charges in connection with an alleged relationship between himself and a 15-year-old girl. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department began investigating Lloyd after being contacted by the girl’s mother. Shortly after the investigation began, Lloyd was relieved of his church duties and moved to Georgia. He was indicted by a Morgan County Grand Jury Nov. 23 and turned himself in to the Morgan County Jail. He was later released after posting $50,000 bond.
