Teodolinda Amaya, who was employed by the Rev. Jose Antonio Boitron to clean the parish church, said she’s four months pregnant by the priest and that he fired her after working for him for 15 years. The incident took place in the northern city of Trujillo. The betrayed husband, after going through the church and coming to a room that appeared to be the sacristy or an office with a bed, videotaped several seconds of them having sex and then burst in on the lovers with the camera still running. “Now I’m going to make a report to the police,” the husband said, still recording. “How can you say she’s doing the cleaning while you’re betraying my children?” he said. “Calm down,” the priest said. “I realize...it’s a trap you set for me and I fell into it,” he stammered while covering his naked body with a sheet. The cleaning lady told the TV channel later that she was forced into the affair by the Rev. Boitron, who had harassed her, and said that the 4-months pregnancy is the result of this relationship. Now she is demanding not only an admission of paternity but also compensation for the 15 years she worked. The parish priest refused an invitation from the TV channel to give his version of the incident. EFE
