Lavictoire Lez Get Real July 11, 2010 http://lezgetreal.com/2010/11/three-stooges-attack-belgian-archbishop/ [with video] While Pope Benedict was getting rather resoundly attacked for his comments in Spain, Brussels Archbishop André-Joseph Léonard was getting a pie in the face. The embattled Archbishop has been attacked by his brother bishops, Catholic publications and politicians for his handling, or mishandling, of the Church's sex abuse crisis. He has been under attack from many others for calling AIDS a punishment for homosexuality and sexual freedom, and urging leniency for retired priests who have been accused of sexually abusing minors in the past. What is more, his spokesman quit on Tuesday stating that he could not work for a man he compared to someone 'who drives down a highway against the traffic and believes all the other drivers are wrong.' But, now, he has been 'Entarté', or pied in the face. A black clad young person rushes up during an All Saints Day service in the cathedral in Brussels, and hit him in the face with a pie as he stood at a lectern while the choir sang. Apparently, the Archbishop later joked that it was quite a tasty pie.
