	Bishop's Special Statement Regarding Lawsuit By Curtis J. Guillory Roman Catholic Diocese of Beaumont October 6, 2010 http://www.dioceseofbmt.org/upcoming/bishop-statlaws.html Most Rev. Curtis J. Guillory provided the following media release on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. On Tuesday, October 5, 2010, I received a citation by mail from the 172nd Judicial District court of Jefferson County, Texas, directed to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Beaumont et al. The citation makes claims of sexual abuse by specific clergy formerly in active ministry in the diocese and additional claims. The claims are under consideration by diocesan legal counsel. Given the seriousness of the claims, the reputations of all named parties, and the flow of information to my office since the plaintiff's press conference on Monday, October 4, 2010, I have decided to permit the legal process to unfold without further comment until data justifies such comment.
