(WIVB) - A former priest is avoiding probation violation charges related to his theft from his Niagara Falls church. Former pastor Peter Delrio pleaded guilty to grand larceny charges back in 2007. Delrio has resumed paying restitution and prosecutors dropped probation violation charges. He had been accused of using church funds to buy an engagement ring for his wife, and pay off a car loan. St. Paul's Parish closed after the fraud was discovered.
