	Irish Priests Step down Following Allegations Catholic Culture August 18 2010 http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=7259 In a sign that Irish dioceses are adopting the recent approach of US dioceses to dealing with abuse allegations, two popular Irish priests-- Father Eugene Boland of the Diocese of Derry and Father Oliver Brennan of the Archdiocese of Armagh-- have gone on leave following abuse allegations. “While this process is ongoing, the priest is entitled to the benefit of a presumption of innocence,” said Bishop Seamus Hegarty of Derry.
