	Quincy Priest Placed on Leave By Jim Lockwood The Pilot June 18, 2010 http://www.thebostonpilot.com/article.asp?ID=11996 The Archdiocese of Boston announced June 13 that Father F. Dominic Menna has been placed on administrative leave after receiving allegations of sexual abuse of minors, stemming from conduct that allegedly occurred nearly 50 years ago. The archdiocese said the decision to place Father Menna on administrative leave represents its commitment to safety and does not indicate guilt or innocence relating to the accusations. “I recognize that news of these allegations may be a source of distress for many people,” Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley said in a statement. “My prayers and concern are with all people who are impacted by this matter. I remain committed to doing everything possible to protect our children, to further the healing process and to rebuild trust.” Father Menna, ordained in 1958, is a senior priest in residence at St. Mary Parish in Quincy. He will remain on administrative leave pending the outcome of a preliminary investigation initiated by the archdiocese, which notified law enforcement upon receiving the allegations. Through its Office of Pastoral Support and Outreach, the archdiocese is making counseling and other services available to survivors, their families and parishes impacted by clergy sexual abuse. Father Menna is receiving care through the Office of Pastoral Care for Priests.
