SNAP Challenging Diocese of Toledo on Fr. Robinson's Status WTOL May 24, 2010 http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=12533574
TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - The Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP) stopped by the Diocese of Toledo Monday to deliver some demands. SNAP is calling on the diocese to encourage lawmakers to push for reform to the 2006 law that prohibits cases involving repressed memories. The group is also asking Bishop Leonard Paul Blair if Fr. Gerald Robinson, convicted of killing a nun, is still on the diocesan payroll and if the diocese is supporting his legal defense. "Catholics in this diocese have a right to know if resources that parishioners have donated are being used to support a murderer; not just any murderer, a priest who murdered a nun," said Barbara Blaine, president and founder of SNAP. Following is the Diocese of Toledo's response. |
