There was also a worldwide hunt for the hierarchical masterminds behind Mehmet Ali Ağca. In the Catholic Church, the guilty hierarchy of Cardinals and bishops who condoned and covered-up the pedophile priests were exposed; Cardinal Bernard Law and Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles proved as the guiltiest Cardinals. But what did John Paul II do to the guilty Catholic hierarchy? Nothing. In fact, after Cardinal Bernard Law resigned as our Archbishop of Boston, John Paul II elevated him as Archpriest to the mother of all basilicas in Rome, the St. Mary Major Basilica. John Paul II had both spiritual healing and physical healing (very quickly) from his gun shot wounds. He was soon trotting around the globe and writing numerous books. He claimed to be the 'Pope of Fatima' and 'Pope of the Rosary' and went on to add 5 more mysteries to the Rosary, the Luminous Mysteries for the 24th anniversary of his papacy on October 16, 2002. But with all his titles, books and travels, John Paul II never defended one child and neither did he defrock one pedophile priest. John Paul II knew well and praised the famous serial pedophile priest Fr. Marcial Maciel the founder of the Legionaries of Christ.
