SAN ANTONIO (TX) -- Groups around the world held signs in protest the Catholic Church in the wake of its most recent sex abuse scandal.

Saturday afternoon, a group called "Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests" or SNAP gathered in front of San Fernando Cathedral.

In this photo released by Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, Pope Benedict XVI, left, meets Archbishop Robert Zollitsch during an audience in his private library at the Vatican, Friday, March 12, 2010. Germany's top bishop has informed Pope Benedict XVI on cases of clerical sex abuse in the pontiff's native Germany and said the pope encouraged him to pursue the truth and assist the victims. Zollitsch said the pope was greatly dismayed and deeply moved as he was being briefed on the scandal during Friday's meeting at the Vatican.

Some of the accusations even came from individuals who sang in the Vienna's Boy's Choir which was run by the pope's brother.

The Vatican is denouncing such claims, saying the pope has courageously dealt with abuse cases.

The local organizer says she's been speaking out ever since her son committed suicide following months of abuse from a priest who was later sent to prison.
