UNITED STATES -- In "Gone to Hell: True Crimes of America's Clergy" (ECW Press, $17.95), the Rev. Randall Radic, an Old Catholic (not Roman Catholic) priest who is an ex-felon, presents six stories of embezzlement and murder by some Roman Catholic priests. He based his stories on public records, news accounts and other sources in the public domain.

The first five stories are about priests who embezzled from their parishes or from someone who had lots of money.

The last story is about a priest who has been accused of killing a nun and getting away with the murder for many years.

Radic does admit clergy of other denominations and religions commit similar crimes. He says he plans to write a book on those, too.

This book may seem to be anti-Catholic, but unfortunately, these are true stories, and the crimes are the main focus of the book. The stories can serve as a wake-up call to all to prevent such crimes from happening. These crimes have made it more difficult for those who are truly doing the work of God from doing that mission.

This book is highly recommended to those interested in true-life crime.
