	Preacher Charged with Sending Sex Video to Minor By Robin Pyle Lubbock Online January 6, 2010 http://www.lubbockonline.com/stories/010610/upd_543466822.shtml A Lubbock pastor was arrested last week on federal charges after authorities say he sent a lewd sexual video of himself to a 16-year-old girl in Louisiana. Dean Richard Tarkington, 57, was pastor at Word of Faith Christian Center, in a shopping center in the 7300 block of 82nd Street, when he was arrested, Lubbock police said. Louisiana authorities contacted local police in early December. The FBI is now investigating the case. A Lubbock police official said a church computer was seized during a federal search warrant and evidence was found on the computer. Tarkington is not believed to have had any physical contact with any children, police said. The Word of Faith Christian Center locally — which opened in February — has since shut down, according to its voice mail. The congregation numbered about 40 people, police said. Tarkington would not comment when reached at his home address this morning. The FBI did not immediately return a message left this morning.
