Ireland -- Survivors of clerical child abuse have expressed disappointment at the decision by Bishop of Galway Martin Drennan not to resign.
Four other bishops named in the Murphy Report into clerical child abuse in the Dublin Archdiocese stepped down this month.
Last night, a spokesman for Dr Drennan said the bishop felt he had done nothing wrong and that his situation was different to that of other bishops named in the Murphy Report.

Marie Collins, a survivor of abuse, said she was disappointed at the decision and said it was not good for the Church and not good for victims.
Ms Collins said Bishop Drennan should step down in the same way that the other four Bishops have as there must be a 'collective response' in order to move forward.
Andrew Madden, author of 'Altar Boy: A Story of Life After Abuse' said he believed Bishop Drennan should resign.
He said there will be a point of contention if Bishop Drennan insists on staying.
Mr Madden said he hopes to meet other survivors of abuse and political representatives in the New Year to discuss rolling out further inquiries all over the country.
He said in order to get full accountability, it was important that future inquiries investigated all allegations of abuse rather than a representative sample as was the case with the Murphy Report.
