JOHN'S, N.L. - An Anglican priest in Newfoundland and Labrador facing child pornography charges is no longer in custody. Rev. Robin Barrett was released yesterday on two $25,000 sureties and a number of conditions. He's charged with possession and distribution of child pornography and is due back in court Jan. 5. Under the terms of his release, Barrett, 52, is to have no access to the Internet and must stay away from public buildings with Internet access. He is also not to be within 25 metres of school grounds or recreational facilities. Barrett cannot be in the presence of anybody under the age of 18 with the exception of his daughter. Even then, the girl's mother has to be present.
