The priest of a church in Reading has been removed from his duties, according to officials with the Allentown Diocese. Father Luis Bonilla Margarito, 40, was suspended after he acknowledged having an "inappropriate relationship" with an 18-year-old woman.

Church officials said the head of the diocese, Bishop John Barres, told St. Joesph's church members about the matter during a Mass on Saturday.
Church officials said Sunday that Father Margarito would be going to treatment facility for clergy outside the diocese, and will not be allowed to serve publicly as a priest.
He had served as the priest at St. Joesph Church, located in the 1000 block of North 8th Street in Reading, since 2006. Margarito had also served as the chaplain at Reading Catholic Central High School since 2008.
They also said the Berks County District Attorney's Office was notified of the relationship.
No criminal charges have been filed.
According to church officials, Father Margarito was ordained in 2000, serving at St. Joesph the Worker Church in Orefield, Lehigh County; St. Peter Church in Reading and St. Ann Church in Emmaus before being appointed to St. Joesph Church in Reading.
