	Scranton Priest Arraigned on Child Pornography Charges Catholic Culture October 20, 2009 http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=4366 Father Robert Timchak, 42, a priest of the Diocese of Scranton has been arraigned on 19 child pornography charges. In December, the diocese had received an anonymous tip and contacted police. A police search of the priest’s laptop revealed photographs of underage males. The priest wrote a column for the local newspaper and served as a substitute teacher in area schools. One parish's history notes, “In July, 2000 Reverend Robert Timchak became our pastor. Father’s love of the children and youth was evident from his first day as pastor.”
