The Archbishop of St. John's, Martin Currie, says the archdiocese is intent on dealing with circumstances such as the arrest of Father Raymond Lahey on child pornography charges. Lahey turned himself in to Ottawa police on Thursday.

Bishop Currie says they will try to follow up as best as they can. Currie says they are attempting to have transparency in the church. He says they are accused of hiding things but now will deal with the questions at hand. Bishop Currie says he read a letter about the Father Lahey incident at churches over the weekend. Currie says he read the letters at St. Patrick's and the Basilica and he received great support from the people.
