Convicted Sex Offender Ordained As Pastor Church Solutions September 16, 2009 http://www.churchsolutionsmag.com/hotnews/convicted-sex-offender-ordained-as-pastor.html A convicted sex offender has been ordained as a pastor in Louisville, Ky., and numerous protestors gathered outside the service to voice dissent for the ordination. Mark Hourigan, 41, was ordained Sunday at the City of Refuge Worship Center. Among the protestors were members of the group Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. Hourigan will be an associate pastor at the church and has publicly declared that he has been rehabilitated. He served four years in prison for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy in 1998.
