Red Springs, NC -- Members of the church say they didn't like the way he talks down to some of the lower-income people in the church.

It happened at Iglesia Catholica San Andres on Sunday morning.

Father Walter Ospina, 33, tried to enter the church through a side entrance before morning Mass, but members had padlocked him out of the service. The outside door was also locked with a sign that read ""Iglesia Cerrada hasta que tengamos nuevo parroco. Justicia!!" That loosely translates to "Church closed until we have a new priest. Justice!"

About 150 protestors then swarmed the priest, most of them holding signs.

Members say in the year that Ospina has been at the church, he continually failed to embrace Mexican parishioners, a group of lower-income people who, in many cases, are in the county illegally.

No charges have been filed again Ospina.

The Raleigh Diocese says they have no reason to remove Ospina at this time.
