The report of the Dublin Archdiocese Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse is to be presented to the Government on Tuesday.

The Commission was set up in 2006 to investigate how allegations of child sex abuse by priests were handled by bishops in Dublin between 1975 and 2004.

It is reported that 15 priests will be named; 11 of them have been convicted in the courts.

The focus of the report is on a power culture centred on the bishops and how this influenced their handling of sex abuse allegations.

It is thought the Justice Minister Dermot Ahern will refer the report to the Attorney General who may then decide to publish its findings in full.
