Antonio Cortes appeared in a Monterey County courtroom for another arraignment hearing and entered a plea of not guilty. He's set to stand trial for child molestation charges, including one felony of sodomy and one felony of possession of child pornography. Cortes, who's from St. Mary of the Nativity Church, is out on bail. His bail has been lowered from $750,000 to $100,000. One of his attorneys, Eugene Martinez says, after the preliminary hearing, the judge heard the evidence and decided to lower it. Cortes is still living in Monterey County. His next scheduled court appearance is on July 30, where a trial date may be set.
