May 31, 1958 • Adamson ordained. Nov. 24, 1980 • He admits abuse of teenager to Carlson. Comes out later he has been sexually abusing children since just after his ordination. Nov. 25, 1980 • Roach says Adamson can remain in parish. Dec. 4, 1980 • Names of other possible Adamson victims surface. Jan. 1, 1981 • Adamson sent for two weeks of inpatient treatment. Feb. 2, 1981 • Roach transfers Adamson to new parish, takes Carlson off the case. June 18, 1981 • Rumors begin to surface again about Adamson in contact with boys, and continue for next three years. June 22, 1984 • Roach thinking about giving Adamson his own parish because of the “superb” priest’s “excellent record for the past few years.” June 28, 1984 • Carlson learns of another accusation against Adamson. July 6, 1984 • Adamson admits new abuse allegation to Carlson. Nov. 14, 1984 • Adamson sent to St. Louis for treatment.
