The president of Paraguay, Fernando Lugo, was now accused of having raped Bengina Leguizamon, the woman who denounced a supposed parenthood of the catholic ex-bishop.
When it seemed that the scandal was silenced, a new denunciation re-opened the polemic. The fact is that Legizamon denounced she had been raped by the ex-bishop in they first sexual intercourse.
