In an advertisement in the Nation, Koinoina Community announced that it had severed ties with Mr Michael Ochieng' and Mr Michael Omondi Owiso. "We wish to advise all our esteemed partners and the public in general that the following persons are no longer trustees and/or employees of Koinoina community and are therefore not authorised to transact any business on behalf of the community or using the name of the community," the advert said. The two are suspected to have blown the whistle on the priest's alleged sexual abuses. On Thursday, deputy police spokesman Charles Wahong'o, who on Wednesday denied that there were any complaints against Fr Kizito, made an about-turn, saying CID headquarters at Mazingira House had recorded reports. No action He blamed a communication lapse between CID headquarters and Vigilance House for his earlier stance. Police said the complainants' lawyer had gone to CID with two alleged victims, aged 11 and 13. But the lawyer, Mr Stephen Kibunja said there were four complainants aged 11, 17 and two 22-year-olds. The complainants, who were expected to undergo medical examination on Thursday morning, claimed they were offered between Sh100 and Sh1,000 for the alleged sexual abuse, which they say occurred in the morning, lunch hour, afternoon and at night. Although they complained to relatives about the sexual abuses, which allegedly took place between 1996 and early this year, no action was taken, they claimed. At Kilimani Police Station where Fr Kizito recorded a statement, he called for an investigation of three mission workers who he raised and educated for misuse of funds. Fr Kizito also said that those making the accusations had demanded Sh40 million to drop their claims. He further alleged that one of the young men alleging sexual abuse had been offered Sh75,000 ($1,000) to testify against him.
