	Violence in Argentine Courtroom As Prominent Priest Convicted of Abuse Catholic Culture June 12, 2009 http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=3193 Father Julio Cesar Grassi, founder of an organization that assists Argentine street children, has been convicted for the sexual abuse and rape of a minor and sentenced to 15 years in prison. The judges ruled that in preparing victims for abuse, Father Grassi was "intending to change the sexual orientation of the victims." The judges also acquitted Father Grassi on 15 other counts of abuse. Following the ruling, "dozens of Grassi's supporters protested the ruling and were involved in violent clashes with the police," according to a local media report. "Demonstrators also beat photographers and journalists who were covering the protest."
