	Church Confirms Priest Resigned The Argus May 10, 2009 http://www.argus.ie/breaking-news/national-news/church-confirms-priest-resigned-1734721.html It has been confirmed that a priest in Dublin has voluntarily stood aside from his position as a result of child protection concerns. The Archdiocese of Dublin has said the move is in accordance with the Church's Standards and Guidance document on Safeguarding children. It says it will not be releasing any information to the media concerning confidential aspects of the investigation. Archbishop Diarmuid Martin is also expressing his regret and concern that a Sunday newspaper chose to publish details of a priest standing aside.
