"All God's Children," a documentary film that tells of the story of the first boarding school for children of missionaries to be investigated for abuse at the hands of parents' missionary colleagues, will be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday at McDowell Baptist Church, 16 Bay View Drive.

The film, which shares the story of survivors and their parents, was made by filmmakers Scott Solary and Luci Westphal, who will be in attendance Tuesday with film participants Ann Beardslee and the Rev. Dr. Howard Beardslee.

Film producer and director Solary, born and reared in Jacksonville, is the son of Ellie Snapp. Snapp and her husband are residents of St. Augustine and attend McDowell Baptist, where the Rev. Clarence Blalock is pastor. Solary's wife is Westphal. The two, who make their home in Brooklyn, N.Y., are graduates of Florida State University, Tallahassee.

The Beardslees are residents of Mandarin.

All four will be on hand to answer questions about the documentary following the showing.

The film has met with praise, with those who have viewed it suggesting it exposes "a horrific scandal that's virtually never been highlighted anywhere," writes David Clohessy, national director of the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests.

Cliff Vaughn of Ethicsdaily.com, said "'All God's Children' tells a tragic story -- one that no one really wants to hear, but one that responsible adults need to hear."

There is no charge for Tuesday's program, but donations are welcome. DVDs will be available for purchase following the screening.
