	Belgian Priest Loses Appeal Radio Netherlands April 27, 2009 http://www.radionetherlands.nl/news/international/6276002/Belgian-priest-loses-appeal A Belgian appeals court has sentenced a priest to nine years in jail for child sex abuse and the possession of child pornography. Earlier, a lower court had sentenced him to seven years. The priest thought his sentence was too severe and filed an appeal. However, the appeals court added another two years to his sentence and also ruled that the priest should undergo 10 years of compulsory psychiatric treatment.
