	Former Harrisburg Priest Accused of Sexual Abuse By David Wenner The Patriot-News April 21, 2009 http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2009/04/longdead_harrisburg_priest_acc.html A priest who once taught at Bishop McDevitt High School is named in a lawsuit by a Delaware man who claims he was sexually abused by two priests during the mid-1980s. The Rev. John McDevitt taught religion at McDevitt from 1980 to 1982. He later taught at the Salesianum School in Wilmington, Del., where the Delaware man says abuse happened. McDevitt has been dead since 1999. Joe Aponick, spokesman for the Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg, said there were no complaints against McDevitt during his time in Harrisburg. But the diocese said it takes any claims of abuse by a church employee seriously. It advised anyone who knows of possible abuse by McDevitt to call Kate McCauley, a victim's assistance coordinator, at 703-525-1555. The other priest named in the Delaware suit, the Rev. Dennis Killion, is the subject of lawsuits involving 10 former students.
