	Suburban Principal Charged with Sex Abuse Chicago Breaking News April 8, 2009 http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/04/suburban-principal-charged-with-sex-abuse.html The principal of a Beach Park school has been charged with sexually abusing an 11-year-old student, police said today. Daniel R. Pirozzi, 54, is charged with one count of criminal sexual abuse for allegedly hugging and kissing the female victim, said police. They said on at least one occasion, Pirozzi placed his hand on the girl's chest, over her clothing. Pirozzi, who is the principal at the Biblical Baptist Church Academy on the 39000 block of Green Bay Road, lives in an apartment in the church building, police said. They said members of the girl's family contacted the Lake County sheriff's office Saturday, detailing the allegations of the abuse that they said began in early March. Pirozzi was arrested Monday and admitted in a statement that his involvement with the victim had gone too far, police said. They said there may be other victims and are encouraging them to come forward. Pirozzi remains in the Lake County jail in lieu of $200,000 bail. Calls to the church were not returned Wednesday.
