Voice of the Faithful of Greater Bowie is sponsoring a prayer service to show support for survivors of sexual abuse. The group was founded in response to publicity in 2002 about the sexual abuse crisis in the Roman Catholic church. The Christian service is open to survivors of sexual abuse and supporters. The theme is "Finding God after Betrayal" and will include speakers, survivor discussions, prayers, music and time for reflection. It is an opportunity for survivors to experience spirituality in a safe and welcoming environment.
