	A Hunter Valley Priest, Charged by a Police Strike Force Investigating Allegations of Child Sexual Abuse, Has Been Placed on a Good Behaviour Bond for Perverting the Course of Justice ABC Newcastle March 9, 2009 http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/03/10/2511707.htm?site=newcastle Thomas Kenneth Brennan was arrested in August last year in relation to a statement he gave to police in 1998. The 70-year-old was charged with giving a false written statement and has been given a 12 month good behaviour bond in Newcastle Local Court. Brennan was charged by Strike Force Georgiana, which has laid 178 charges against four members of the clergy, relating to more than 40 alleged victims.
