	Abhaya Case: Hc Modifies Bail Condition for a Month The Hindu March 6, 2009 http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/004200903061912.htm Kochi (PTI): The Kerala High Court on Friday modified the bail condition of Father Jose Puthrikayil, an accused in the sister Abhaya murder case, for a month. While considering a plea by the accused, Justice V. Ramkumar modified for a month the condition which stipualtes that the accused shall not leave the present place of stay without the prior permission of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Ernakulam. Puthrikayil, had approached the court stating that he wanted to go to Rajapuram in Kasaragod where he is the principal of a college to handover charges. Puthrikayil along with Father Thomas Kottur and Sister Sephi were arrested by CBI last year in connection with the death of Abhaya of the St Pius Convent, Kottayam, 16 years ago. The three were recently granted bail.
