	Former Kanawha County Pastor Guilty Metro News February 27, 2009 http://www.wvmetronews.com/index.cfm?func=displayfullstory&storyid=29127 The former Pastor at Shrewsbury Church of God has been convicted of sexually abusing several boys in the mid 1990s. A Kanawha County jury returned with a guilty verdict against Sandy Cook on Friday afternoon after just a short time in deliberations behind closed doors. Cook was found guilty of sexual abuse by a guardian and third degree sexual assault. He had denied all of the charges and took the stand in his own defense to say as much on Thursday. The victims took the stand this weekend to detail the abuse.
