	Judge: OC Diocese Doesn't Have to Share Records Associated Press, carried in Sacramento Bee February 20, 2009 http://www.sacbee.com/state_wire/story/1641881.html SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A judge has ruled that the Catholic Diocese of Orange doesn't have to provide internal records to a man who is suing over alleged clergy sexual abuse. An Orange County Superior Court judge denied the plaintiff's request on Friday to order the diocese to hand over records about previous allegations of child sex abuse against Denis Lyons. The lawsuit names both the diocese and Lyons and claims he abused a boy at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Costa Mesa in 1994 and 1995. Outside the courtroom, the plaintiff's lawyer, V. James DeSimone, said the ruling was a "travesty of justice" that he plans to appeal. The judge also ruled the diocese must produce a list of every person who has accused a priest of molestation from 1979 to the present.
