	Priest Acquitted of Child Sex Abuse Charges in Montgomery County CBS 6 February 18, 2009 http://www.cbs6albany.com/news/child_1260995___article.html/charges_priest.html A priest accused of sexually abusing several children in a family to which he was considered a spiritual advisor was acquitted Wednesday on felony charges of sexual misconduct against a child. John Broderick was only convicted on one charge of misdemeanor child endangerment in the jury trial after deliberations ended Wednesday afternoon at around 3:15. Broderick, of Nicholville, was arrested in February 2008 for the alleged abuse of at least four children between five and eleven years of age, reported to have taken place in 2007 He'll be sentenced in Montgomery County Court on March 31st, and remains free until then. Broderick's assignment to the Syracuse Diocese of the Catholic Church was suspended before his arrest in 2008.
