Robert Devine (32), of Wheatfields, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, was brought before Waterford District Court after being charged with the murder of Joseph Cummins on November 24, 2007. Mr Cummins is believed to have suffered stab wounds at a house on Lower Grange Road, near St John's Park, Waterford. Gardai yesterday arrested Mr Devine in Clonmel, who was remanded in custody to appear again next Tuesday.
