Jessop was a member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the polygamist sect that was the focus of national attention when its ranch in Schleicher County was raided in April by state authorities, who removed hundreds of children thought to be at risk of sexual abuse. Jessop wrote about her experiences breaking away from the FLDS. She is promoting the recent paperback release of her book, said Cecille Reese, Hastings book manager. "We'll have a table set up in the front," Reese said. Jessop likely will be at the store for a few hours. She will take questions and speak with people who attend the signing, Reese said. Hastings, at 4238 Sunset Drive, sells books, music and movies. Reese said Jessop's book is available at the store.
