Jean Ronald Joseph is accused of having sexual contact with a minor when he was at St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church in Fort Myers in 1993. No specifics were given about the child’s age or gender. Joseph, of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Holmes Beach, reportedly denied the allegations. He agreed to remove himself from active ministry while the diocese investigates the complaint. He formerly worked at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradenton and has been in charge of Haitian ministries in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
