	CBI Questions Former Sub Divisional Magistrate Express Buzz December 27, 2008 http://www.expressbuzz.com/edition/print.aspx?artid=k/yRGp87blg= KOCHI: The CBI on Friday interrogated former Kottayam Sub Divisional Magistrate S G K Kishore in connection with the investigation of the Abhaya case. It is learnt that he was interrogated in connection with the tampering of evidence. Kishore, who is now working with a construction company in Hyderabad, was called by the CBI to Kerala for questioning. He was questioned in connection with the permission given by him to the Crime Branch to destroy some important evidence in the case including the diary and the veil of Sister Abhaya based on a request by the Crime Branch. The Crime Branch had filed a report in 1993 stating that Abhaya had committed suicide. It was after this report that the Crime Branch sought permission to destroy the evidence. It is learnt that Kishore deposed before the CBI that the permission given was only legal since the police had found it a suicide.
