(AP) - A jury is back at work trying to reach a verdict in the case of a Waitsfield man who blames the Diocese of Burlington for sexual abuse he says he suffered as an altar boy 30 years ago. The jury, which spent five hours on the case Monday without reaching a verdict, resumed deliberations early Tuesday in Chittenden County Superior Court. The man claims he was repeatedly groped by Rev. Edward Paquette while serving with him at Christ the King church in Burlington in 1977 and 1978, and he says the church failed to supervise Paquette. A similar case ended in May with an $8.7 million award to another former altar boy allegedly molested by Paquette.
