	Priest Questioned over Sexual Harassment Claims Cyprus Mail August 26, 2008 http://www.cyprus-mail.com/news/main.php?id=41040&cat_id=1 A PRIEST was yesterday released from police custody after allegedly blackmailing his female business partner by SMS and sexually harassing her. Famagusta CID arrested the 35-year-old cleric in the early hours of Saturday morning after receiving a complaint from a 30-year-old divorced woman that he was blackmailing her via text messaging. The two have a business together in the free Famagusta area. The woman also accused the priest of sexually harassing her. Police confiscated a hunting rifle from their business to see if it was connected to the 35-year-old’s threats. The priest was held in custody until late on Saturday night. A police spokesman yesterday said they would first investigate the alleged text messages and phone calls before summoning the suspect again. Police sources yesterday said that the suspect had admitted to sending the threatening messages but not to sexually harassing her.
