AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) — A local pastor plead guilty Thursday in Williamson County court to two felony theft counts after church members accused him of stealing.

Donald Roger "Roddy" Clyde, 48, is charged with theft more than $200,000 and turned himself into the Williamson County jail Wednesday.

Clyde waived his right to a trial by jury scheduled for Aug. 25 and has already paid back $343,000 of the $476,694.36 of the stolen money by selling land, a trailer and a business.

Clyde stepped down from his post as senior pastor on Aug. 17, 2007, after police said a staff member at the Fellowship at Forest Creek Church in Round Rock reported a large amount of money went missing from church accounts.

Detectives said Clyde had access to the church's checking and credit accounts.

Presentencing is scheduled for Sept. 5, while sentencing is set for Oct. 2. Clyde faces two consecutive terms of jail time in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system of five and 10 years, including restitution for the stolen money.

Clyde is out on bond.
