Speaking on a flight to Australia, Pope Benedict said paedophilia was "incompatible" with being a priest. Days earlier, Cardinal George Pell, head of the Catholic Church in Australia, denied covering up sex abuse by his priests. Broken Rites, which represents abuse victims in Australia, says there have been 107 convictions so far for child abuse by Catholic Church members.
