	CPS Loses Appeal to Texas Supreme Court over Polygamist Children By Cathryn Khalil KLTV May 29, 2008 http://www.kltv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8397604&nav=1TjD The Texas Supreme Court has upheld the decision of a lower court finding that CPS had no legal grounds to remove more than 400 FLDS children from their parents. Though CPS could still appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, this ruling essentially says that those children should be returned to their parents. Parents and lawyers have been anxiously awaiting a ruling from the high court since the lower court said child welfare officials were wrong to take the children from their parents.
