I submit this is the sort of language our Church needs to use if it is to reach out to the world again. It's language directed "downwards and outwards" trying to address the real issues in people's lives. It's not language directed "inwards and upwards" trying to prove to God, Jesus, the Pope, or who knows, saying "look at me, aren't I being good!" This really is refreshing. Thank God for Geoffrey Robinson! May his example be followed by many other bishops and pastoral leaders.
