	Russell Again Arrested By John Ford Neosho Daily News May 15, 2008 http://www.neoshodailynews.com/news/x1874994825/Russell-again-arrested Neosho, Mo. - Randall "Danny" Russell, local self-proclaimed pastor, was arrested late this morning on new child sexual abuse charges. Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland said he and Det. Mike Barnett, an investigator with the department, arrested Russell at his business, Garages &?More, located at 11285 Mulberry Road, this morning. Russell was arrested on an active warrant alleging two counts of child molestation and seven counts of statutory sodomy. "We have him here in custody at the Newton County Jail on a $50,000 bond," said Copeland. "That's in addition to the $250,000 bond he'd already posted." On Wednesday, additional child sexual abuse charges were filed against Russell. Russell currently faces a total of 13 child sexual abuse charges after several young women have come forward with accusations he sexually molested them when they were under age, a number which is likely to increase once the prosecutor's office reviews reports. The young women are all former members of his church, Acts II, located on the same grounds as Russell's business. Russell has been charged with two felony counts of first-degree child molestation, a felony charge of second-degree statutory rape, two felony counts of first-degree statutory sodomy, six felony charges of second-degree statutory sodomy, a Class A misdemeanor charge of second-degree child molestation, and a felony charge of child abuse. On April 29, deputies with the Newton County Sheriff's Department served a search warrant at Garages & More, seizing a computer from the business and several photographs of a nude juvenile girl from the church office. The first young woman alleges Russell had fondled her on numerous occasions between September 2003 and February 2004. She said these incidents occurred about once a month, with oral sex following in either December 2003 or January 2004. She also said the acts of sexual intercourse began in May or June of 2004, shortly before her 17th birthday. These acts allegedly took place on a futon bed in the church office. Then, another young woman who lives on the West Coast told the Neosho Daily News Russell had fondled her several years ago when she was 15. She said she reported the incident to deputies in 2002, but nothing was done. She has since talked with investigators with the department and is cooperating with their investigation. Shortly after these allegations came to light, another young woman came forward and said Russell sexually abused her beginning when she was 11 years old and lasting until she was 14. Russell is currently free on $250,000 bond. Preliminary hearings have been set for 9:30 a.m. June 9 in Judge Greg Stremel's Division II Associate Circuit Courtroom.
