	Lawsuit Accuses Priest, Music Teacher of Molestation By Rummana Hussain Chicago Sun-Times March 21, 2008 http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/854557,CST-NWS-suit21.article A 44-year-old Chicago area man filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing a former Augustinian Roman Catholic priest and a former St. Rita High School choir director of molesting him when he was a teenager. Between 1976 and 1979, John Johnson was allegedly assaulted by then-St. Rita of Cascia parish priest John D. Murphy, who was also named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by 13 other male victims in 2003. The Augustinian order assigned to the South Side parish settled with the men a year later. Johnson was sexually abused by a former choir director at St. Rita High School during a semester in his freshman year, according to Barbara Blaine, president of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. The now deceased male teacher, also acting as a disciplinarian, would make Johnson come to school on Saturdays and molest him, the lawsuit said. "It's indescribable," Johnson said. "If I can save even one kid from it, I've done my job."
